This is a very quick and easy pound cake to make. This is my husbands's all time favorite. We like it plain, but you can jazz it up and serve as a strawberry shortcake. Just slice strawberries in a bowl; add a little sugar and place in refrigerator for a few minutes. In the meantime, whip up some heavy cream. Place a slice of cake on a plate, add strawberries, and top with whipping cream. yummmmy - I found this recipe online.

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees- grease a 10" tube pan
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs, one at a time until mixed; add vanilla
  4. Sift flour and baking soda: add half the flour mixture, then add the sour cream until mixed completely; add the rest of the flour until mixed completely.
  5. Pour mixture into your prepared tube pan.
  6. Bake for 1 hour- 1 hour 20 min.
Recipe Notes

Cake will be done when wooden skewer or toothpick comes out clean.
